Warrior

Based on the previous shoot, Journey, I wanted to experiment on the theme

of colour. Also, I wanted to celebrate my proverbial 'second coming out'. 

Since moving to Windhoek to study fashion design, I have found my 

voice again, regained self-confidence I never realised I lost and got back

on my unicorn. 

This shoot symbolises that struggle and to show that I still stand proud, 

despite it all. 

I give you 'Warrior':

Journey

This is my first shoot I did since I moved to Windhoek. The name for
the shoot came naturally to me, as this was indeed a new journey for me;
A journey I have no idea where it might lead to, but happy that I am on
the road of self discovery.

Considering that I have a good internet connection at the moment I will be posting
more shoots in the future until anything changes.

[In Retrospect] Wet

This was my last shoot before I traveled to Windhoek to start my

studies for Fashion Design. I remember I did a shoot way back then

called risque which involved water, and wanted to experiment again.

This is the result...

A Little Note...

Just wanted to let you guys in on some changes in my life.

My posts/ shoots might be less than usual from now on as I am

transitioning into a new phase of my life: as a Fashion Design student.

For the next 3 years I will be living out my dream of learning and understand

fashion design and creating my own clothes, etc. My shoots might be few

and far between as my living situation at the moment is not 100% ideal yet, 

but I cannot say what the foreseeable future might hold. 

I am looking forward to this new journey in my life, and soon I will

be able to bring new, fresh and unique ideas to the table in terms of my

shoot's wardrobe.

By The Grace Of God

Lately, I have been exceptionally inspired by spirituality

after I watched a clip Beyond: Love Within. Very seldom

does something make me shiver and give me goosebumps,

and this was one such case. It made me listen to songs with 

spiritual influences as well as religious, like Madonna's

Like A Prayer, Enigma and gospel music. 

This inspired the shoot By The Grace Of God, and I wanted

to portray a sense of release by being graced by God. Not so much

in a religious sense but more in a spiritual understanding. I have

never considered myself religious, but still believe in the fundamentals

of what God stands for.

This is the result:

Amazing Grace

These are all little quotes from songs I find describe who I am: I connect

with the dark, but I live as much as I can in the light. This is 

my amazing grace...

This is also a 2 part shoot, with the prequel coming soon. This 2 part shoot
also plays on the words light & dark, the former being Amazing Grace, and
the latter being By The Grace Of God.
