Had a busy few months starting a new job and trying to figure out

how to juggle every thing in between as well. But here it is. A new shoot! ;D

Initially this was titled 'Business As Usual' to celebrate my new job, but

I have been watching Pose and wanted to do more shoots incorporating

the themes of the fabulous series. 

 

In All Seriousness

It's been a while! A hectic year behind me, finished my second

year of fashion school with flying colours and traveled down to Western

Cape for a wedding. 

I realise I haven't posted in ages, and I apologise, so here is a shoot from September

where I practiced Special Effects MakeUp as part of our MakeUp class. As soon as I

heard we'd be doing special effects, I wanted to do the Joker, but Halloween style. 

So this shoot was my test run:

I will post some instagram shots of the final face for makeup class,

along with additional looks I created to practice with. 

WILD

This was a pretty emotional shoot for me to do. Was

going through a rough patch and finally got to listen

to Troye Sivan's album Blue Neighbourhood. This made

every emotion I felt exemplified and I needed it out. 

I struggled with this shoot, because may of the shots were so

hard to take due to the amount of emotion showing that I couldn't

include them...

Troye's single Wild plays a huge role in the shoot, along with

Youth..

studies as a fashion design student and so this shoot was

my visual manifestation of the impact.

Been incredibly inspired by Asian fashion of a late, 

and decided to do a continuation of the first shoot, 

Memoirs Of A Gay-sha, and also apply all of the

make-up techniques I've learned a long the way.

Only If For A Night

Anyone following this blog knows how inspired

I have always been by Florence + The Machine.

When I was getting myself ready for this shoot

I played some Florence and as soon as their song

Only If For A Night came on, the refrain and the

drum beat got me in the mood and is the main

inspiration behind the direction of this shoot.
